Boys weekend and "Week of the Young Child!"

Well this past weekend, Mom went home to ND to spend time with Grandma and Auntie Farrah and Dad and Bryson had boys weekend! Dad and Bryson were going to abstain from showing and wear pajamas all weekend! :)

Bryson also started to eat cereal! He definitely did not like the plain cereal, so we bought some flavored pre-made cereal that seems to be going over a little better!!

This week at daycare was youth week so Bryson dressed up each day!
Monday: Hat Day-Bryson didn't feel like smiling for this one and was showing his "serious" face! :)

Tuesday: Dress your best! Bryson's little suit is already getting small!!

Wednesday: Sports team day! Bryson is already a NY Yankees fan :)

Thursday: Red, White & Blue day!

Friday: Wacky Wear and Hair Day! Bryson didn't have a wacky outfit, but we tried to spike his hair. Even after washing his hair, it's still spiked! :) I am still trying to figure out who enjoyed dressing up this week.... :)

We took a family picturing showing what we are grateful for, which is our wonderful family, home, and careers!

Bryson loves looking in the mirror and when he sees himself he smiles! After bath time, we always hold him up so he can see himself and us and he loves it! Below are some random pics...

Bryson rolls over!!

This past weekend we went to Grand Forks to visit Grandma Rocksvold. Bryson slept the entire way from Andover to Grand Forks!! He's such a good little traveler!

On Saturday, Auntie Farrah, Jocelynn and Carsten came to Grandma's to spend the day/night with us. We played on the swing set outside and when it was nap time, Dad took Bryson in and he only slept for 15 minutes. Then, Dad thought he would try out the video camera on our new camera and as he was filming, Bryson rolled over for the first time!!! Now, it's old news to Bryson as he rolls over all the time!!

Bryson enjoyed being spoiled by Grandma and the smiles were endless the entire weekend!! He's at such a fun age :) Grandma even babysat Bryson while Mom and Dad visited with friends! Bryson gave Grandma a run for her money, but Grandma prevailed and had him sleeping with his arms sprawled out in the pack and play! He was definitely all played out for the night! :)

Bryson also got a Johnny Jumper this weekend and he loves it!! We put it up at Grandma's and he jumped all around! When we got home, Tony was able to attach the jumper to a longer rope and now it hangs down from the loft so Bryson is free to jump around as much as he wants!! :)

Tony picked up Bryson last week from daycare and he was sitting in the bouncer and his friend Caleb was pushing down the sides so Bryson would bounce! :) When I drop off Bryson in the morning Caleb always comes over and peeks at Bryson in his car seat and when Tony picks him up, Caleb is always trying to help with the car seat. Caleb even new which car seat was Bryson's!! It's so cute!

Bryson's first Easter!

We went to Wykoff to spend Bryson's first Easter weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Zwart and had lots of fun! Bryson enjoyed being spoiled pretty much the entire weekend and spent time napping with both Grandma and Grandpa! Rumor has it John Wayne was on, but it wasn't confirmed :) Grandpa even got Bryson to laugh when he tickled his tummy!!

We went and visited Great-Great Grandma on Saturday and Bryson loved being held and cuddled! Great-Great Grandma definitely hasn't lost her touch! Bryson smiled pretty much the entire time we were there!

Auntie Nana read Bryson his new book, No Bunnies Perfect :)

Grandma and Bryson snuggling! Grandma even babysat on Saturday night so Mom and Dad could go to the annual "festival" in Wykoff with Grandpa.

On Easter Sunday, Bryson got to open his first Easter basket and present! Grandma and Grandpa got Bryson a cute outfit and book! Dad and Mom bought Bryson a pair of sunglasses, rocket sippy cup and plate. For lunch, we met the Schwier side of the family at the hall in Wykoff and Bryson definitely was a hit! He smiled as he was passed along from person to person :)

Four generation picture :) We are waiting until May for our five generation picture....

Auntie Tiff and Cousin Cameron... Cameron even made Bryson laugh!!

There's just something special about Great-Great Grandma that always seems to calm Bryson! He even sat perfectly on her lap and cuddled! He's definitely knows where to go to get spoiled!!

Bryson's 4 month appt!

Yesterday we had Bryson's 4 months shots and Bryson was such a big boy!! He hardly even cried after the shots!!! After our ER visit two months ago, we were pretty nervous, but all turned to be just fine! Bryson now weighs 16.85 pounds, which is the 78th percentile, he is 26 inches long which is the 83rd percentile, and his head circumference is 17 inches which is the 73rd percentile. Dr Burt said she was extremely pleased at how Bryson was doing and we can even start rice cereal whenever we want! Bryson seems to like Dr. Burt because he gave her the biggest smile when she walked into the room! I actually got Bryson to giggle for the first time while we were waiting for the doctor!!! :)

Bryson slept through the night for a total of 5 nights, and then he caught a cold at day care and has been up during the night. I can hardly blame the poor little guy, I can't sleep when my nose is stuffy either!! Even though he's been sick, he still has lots of smiles for his Mom and Dad!

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about how blessed we are to have Bryson!! He is definitely such a blessing and makes us appreciate the small things in life! It's amazing how different the world is when you look at it through a child's eyes, it truly makes you appreciate every single day! :)
