Bryson and I made the long journey to ND to spend some quality time with Grandma and Auntie. We had an absolutely fantastic time!!! Bryson is such a good little traveler and only woke up once during the drive to Grand Forks. When he did wake up, he really liked to look around to see what was going on!
Bryson loved spending time with Grandma! When Grandma would talk to Bryson and he would smile back instantly :) Grandma spent her time spoiling Bryson and even had a big bag of clothes for him!! Monday night, Bryson visited his Great-Great Auntie in Grand Forks which was really fun! It really made me realize how much my Grandparents would have loved to have met Bryson, but I know they are looking down on us and they will always have a special place in out hearts!
On Tuesday we went to visit my Godmother near Grafton, ND. It was fun bringing Bryson to the area where I spend my entire childhood! Afterwards, we drove to Auntie Farrah's where she also spoiled Bryson and gave him the cutest hat!!
Bryson played nicely with his cousins and they even gave Bryson a kiss before they went to school the next day! Jocelynn and Carsten were so cute with Bryson!! During the trip, Bryson was not very interested in taking a nap, partly because I think that he didn't 'want to miss anything that was going on!
Auntie Farrah even trimmed Bryson's finger nails and toe nails because they were getting long and the last time that Tony and I tried to trim them we both cut his little finger! :( It was absolutely horrible!!! Auntie took great care and patience cutting them and it was clear to see what makes her such a great nurse!! While at Farrah's, Grandma took out my baby pictures so we could see the similarities.
On Wednesday we made the trip back home! Bryson was exhausted from the trip! I had to wake him up in Alexandria to give him a bottle and change his diaper. Bryson was in such a good mood when we stopped, I couldn't help but laugh at how cute he was being!!
He fell right back asleep and didn't wake up until he was in the house! It was hard for Bryson to be away from Dad for such a long time, and it was clear that Bryson missed his Dad! When Bryson saw Tony, he gave him the biggest smile!!! He kept smiling the entire night, we laughed because we were pretty sure his cheeks were going to get sore!! It was clear that Bryson was happy he was at home with Dad :)
